GENERAL CHIROPRACTIC QUESTIONS

Chiropractic care is beneficial for a wide range of people — not just those in pain. Anyone experiencing discomfort in the back, neck, shoulders, jaw, ribs, knees, ankles, arms, or hands can benefit, as can those dealing with headaches, dizziness, or balance issues.
That said, you don’t have to be in pain to benefit from chiropractic care. Many of our patients come in for regular maintenance adjustments to keep their joints, muscles, and nervous system functioning at their best — because prevention is always better than treatment.
After a careful diagnosis and movement assessment, chiropractors use gentle, targeted techniques to relieve pain, restore normal joint function, and support your body’s natural healing process. Most patients notice improvement quickly after beginning treatment.
In addition to adjustments, we may incorporate complementary therapies to reduce inflammation and accelerate healing — including Cold Laser Therapy, TENS Therapy, dry needling, massage therapy, and acupuncture. Most patient copays cover the full cost of adjustments and therapies.
Your first visit is more thorough than follow-up appointments because we want to get the complete picture. You can expect:
- A detailed conversation about your health history, symptoms, and goals
- Movement and functional assessment
- Digital X-rays if appropriate
- A review of findings and your personalized care plan
Plan for approximately 45–60 minutes for your initial visit. Follow-up appointments are much quicker, typically 10–30 minutes.
Absolutely not. We don’t believe in long-term treatment contracts — ever. Your care schedule is based entirely on how you’re feeling and what your body needs. We typically see new patients two to three times per week for the first week or two until they’re feeling better and adjustments are holding well.
We do recommend monthly maintenance adjustments to prevent problems from returning — because pain is often one of the last signs that something is off. For families, we offer care plans to help reduce the cost of treating multiple family members.
Existing patients are always welcome to walk in. For new patients, because initial visits take more time, we prefer a scheduled appointment — but we can almost always accommodate new patients the same day if you call before noon. Give us a call at (813) 926-9500 and we’ll do our best to get you in.
