Chiropractic Treatments for Neck Pain Relief
At OptiLife Chiropractic, we provide several treatment options for patients suffering from chronic neck pain.
Neck pain can stem from numerous causes:
- You may have experienced whiplash that went untreated (Ask about our car injury support services)
- You may sleep in the wrong position
- You may have pulled a muscle during exercise or experienced a sudden spasm.
- You may have poor spinal posture causing pain.
An experienced chiropractor recognizes that the underlying problem is only sometimes obvious. The pain may be caused somewhere in the upper, middle, or lower back. At OptiLife, our chiropractors will complete an exam and evaluation of your vertebral column to diagnose the root cause and plan a customized treatment. One size does not fit all, especially regarding chronic neck pain.
Can chiropractic treatment ‘fix’ my neck pain?
As long as the surgery isn’t the best alternative, chiropractic care offers an ideal solution for chronic neck pain. It is a non-invasive, drug-free alternative. Rather than just addressing the symptoms, our OptiLife chiropractors target the underlying causes to relieve the neck-related aches that may impact your daily life.
Our approach treatment approach:
Your evaluation begins with evaluating your range of motion and posture while you walk, giving the chiropractor an indication of whether the joints in your spine are moving correctly. Then, if needed, X-rays are taken to provide a clear visualization of your spine.
Our goal is to restore full motion to the spine allowing the nerves leaving the spine to function at their optimal level. When prevented from moving correctly, the spine can experience nerve interference, often felt as neck pain.
We primarily utilize the most widely known adjustment techniques – Diversified, Thompson Drop, and Activator. We also use other spinal manipulation techniques to relieve lower back pain and improve physical function.

Chiropractic Therapies for Neck Pain
In addition to manual spinal manipulations, there are several therapies that are effective in treating migraines and headaches.
Cold Laser & Physical Therapy
Cold Laser and physical therapy treatments are used as therapeutic options in treating chronic or acute neck pain. Cold Laser treatments help to reduce inflammation and promote the healing process. Physical therapies may be used to stretch and strengthen muscle reducing pressure on the cervical nerves.
Cervical adjustments and ensuring the entire spinal column is in proper alignment will help to prevent and alleviate chronic neck pain. Cervical adjustments can be performed using several different chiropractic techniques such as the activator or Thompson method.
Graston Method to reduce myofascial pain
The Graston technique is often used to relieve mayfascial pain that can cause neck pain. The goal is to breakdown the scar tissue and fascia restrictions and help to stretch affected connective tissue. Some soreness may be felt after the therapy but long term improvement of the affected area is usually seen within days.
I have been seeing Dr. Danielle for over a year. I was having trouble with my back and neck which was causing terrible migraines and interfering with my work as a dentist. She has helped me get past pain, reduce headaches and even treated me during my pregnancy. Visits with her keep me in better shape to be able to treat patients. Just yesterday I came in with numbness in my right arm which magically disappeared after an adjustment. I am so thankful for all her help as well as that of her team. Its always a pleasure to be seen there.
